I haven't mentioned my friends little boy on my blog before, but I felt that it was a good time to say a little something about him. Charlie has been up at Primary Chilren's hospital for about 3 months now because of bacterial meningitis. The family has an amazing story and the journey that they have been on is pretty incredible. They are super strong parents and I have become a better person and mom because of their trials. They were highlighted on the news tonight, and if it takes me all day I will post the link so you can view it. In the meantime, if you want to check out the blog, the site is charliecooperjackjack.blogspot.com
Hopefully Charlie and his family will be going home soon. Keep them in your prayers!!!

Interesting...
My friend posted this on her blog (thanks Belinda) and I wanted to share. Go to
thegabblog.blogspot.com and scroll down to the pictures. I like what she has to say. (Sorry, I am not computer literate, so I don't know how to make it so you click on that link and it will switch over...)

Hooray!
We are a no go on the hospital...however, it was really a close call. We made the decision to go, and soon after he made some serious improvements. He finally slept, wasn't begging for anything to drink, and had some good we diapers. I am so grateful. It still keeps me thinking of those that have had to go to the hospital. My heart is with you and I pray that you will soon be able to go home.

Keep your fingers crossed...
We have really been having a hard time with Aiden. He is getting really dehydrated and we are on a timeline to see if he needs to go to the hospital. The poor thing has probably slept 3 hours out of the last 24. We will know by 7 tonight if we are on our way...that means he still can't keep fluids down, or in, and he has blood in his stools. It is so hard when he follows you around saying "Juice" and can't understand why he can't chug a whole bunch. He even climbed out of his crib last night (a trick I hope he doesn't continue to do) walked down to the fridge, and cried. This is breaking my heart! We will keep you updated! And by the way, I know that there are a couple of families out there who really know what it means to have a sick kid. My heart has gone out to them, but I can only imagine what they have gone through (and continue to go through.) We will keep sending prayers your way!

Oh what a night!
As I sit here plunking out words, I am holding my sweet Aiden who has been throwing up all night. In my 4 years as a mom, this is a first...I guess I have been really lucky! (We've done puke before, just not in the middle of the night.) Hopefully this goes away soon, as soon as it makes its rounds through everyone! Wish us luck!
