Today is Aiden's 2nd birthday, and I have to say, he has added so much to our house. He definately keeps me on my toes but when it comes down to it, he gives the best kisses and snuggles! I am so grateful to be his mom, and for all he teaches me on a daily basis. He is one tough cookie...I swear his head is made of cement. I know that he will be a great big brother to this new little guy that is coming our way (can I please speed up the time? I've gone from sick to uncomfortable...no great 2nd trimester) Aiden, we love you so much! Thank you for being you, for making me laugh and for being so great! Happy Birthday!!!!
Why do they grow up so fast??
We also need to say Happy Birthday to his cousins, Emma and Ellie in Arkansas! Thank you for being such fun cousins...we will have a big party for all of you one day! We love you!

Buzz lightyear to the rescue!!!
The other day, Ethan was playing at a friends house, when he came running home out of breath telling me he needed a costume, more specifically a Buzzlightyear costume. Well, the only thing I could come up with was a pirate costume. And thank goodness that did the trick. I decided to look on ebay for a buzzlightyear anything, and found a great bargain for $6.00! And it was worth every penny. He wears it everyday and becomes Buzzlightyear Ethan. It is so fun to see his imagination growing. And Aiden loves it too, and thinks his big brother is really cool when he has it on!

And here is a rare picture of the boys being nice to one another. They wanted to both sit at this desk and eat lunch together. It lasted about 3 minutes. But I had to capture the fact that sometimes they do like eachother. (Actually, they do pretty good together unless it involves a toy, then watch out!

I've laughed all day long
Because Ethan keeps saying funny things. Thought I would share...
"Mom, I sure do love that baby in your tummy, but do you think I will ever get a sister?" (as I wipe away my tears)
"Mom, I have the greatest name for the new baby...Max Ramone" (Max is his best friends name, Ramone is the low rider from Cars)
We went to dinner tonight, and Scott pulled into a parking space that he was worried about getting door dinged. As he started to pull out Ethan said, "Hang on Dad, there is a car." Then, when we knew it was clear, "Ok, the car's gone, you can go now"
As we were putting him to bed, and Scott was explaining that he will miss him tomorrow because he is going snowmobiling, Ethan said, "I will miss you. I'm going to make you a card with a heart. Did you know that there is a guy on the Simpson's that has a bone in his hair?" (I don't support him watching the Simpson's...that is definately his dad's influence!)
Sure do love him...we are lucky and grateful for the humor he brings to the table. As for Aiden, still can't get him to sit still long enough to know if he can talk!

The results
Well, I got part of what I was hoping for. We are having another boy, but he is healthy. That is all a mom could ask for, right?

Could it be?
So, I am not holding my breath until we are there, but we are supposed to have our ultrasound tomorrow at 11:30. If it's cancelled, I give up. We will post the results tomorrow...hopefully!

A sign that the day is done...
Every day at about 5:30, Ethan gets an itch to wrestle. And when his Dad walks through the door, it is all we can do to get him to keep his clothes on (because you are a better wrestler in your underwear) and eat dinner. So tonight, I thought I would document the festivities. Aiden hates it, Ethan can't get enough. But it sure is fun to watch. Here are some of their best moves...camel clutch, scissors, and of course a good body slam.
