A fond farewell

We had a moment at our house yesterday. Our dog, Carmen, went to live at someone else's home. We felt that we weren't being fair to her, but really were tired of her chewing up everything in sight. The last straw was when she slept in the garage one night this week and shredded her pillow by morning. Hopefully she will have a great time with the new family that came to get her. A lesson learned was that we won't get another dog until my kids can participate in the care and entertainment of a dog. Good luck Carmen!

How sad? or how happy? Are the boys sad?

It wasn't that sad. We weren't being fair to her, and Ethan said, I didn't like Carmen, she has sharp claws. Now my boys won't be afraid to go in the backyard. Same with the neighbor kids!

If it makes you feel any better we did the same thing about 3 years ago. I got new leather couches and she scratched them up, so she had to go. We have a new dog now and the boys LOVE him. He drives me insane most of the time. He runs away all the time. I heard you guys live close by. Maybe he'll make it your house one day. If he does you can keep him!
