On Saturday, we decided to brave the cold (and someone's fears) and take the boys up to Monte Cristo to snowmobile. Ethan has been before, and LOVES it, so I decided if you can't beat them, join them. I scrounged up snow clothes and away we went. And I have to say, it was a blast. If you don't know me, you wouldn't know that I am challenged when it comes to 4-wheelers and snowmobiles. (I rolled a 4-wheeler and it landed on my back, chipping a vertebrae in my back when we were dating) Needless to say, I was afraid. Not for my boys, but for me. Never put it past me to get hurt on something like that. Ethan was in heaven riding "his snowmobile" that we stored in our garage for my parents last summer. He grew very fond of that thing. Aiden did so good, I was so proud. He has always been a little bit leary of the machine, never wanting to sit on it if it was started, so I didn't think he would want to ride. But, after the struggle to get all his snow clothes on, and an even bigger fight to wear his helmet and goggles, away he went with Bompa. I guess I have to take rider safety classes or something, because I can tell that we will be doing this as a family a lot more in the future!
Me and Aiden before he freaked out and wanted to go home.
My twins, Scott and Ethan in their matching helmets. Are we creating a monster???
An attempt at a family photo. Aiden was cold and ready to go home by now.

Lucky you! I love snowmobiles, but I hate the cold. Looks like you guys had fun. Glad you made it home without injuries.
